Forsythe confirm line-up

Dominguez joined Forsythe immediately before last year's opening race at Long Beach and impressed the team with how quickly he adapted given an almost total lack of familiarisation time.

Tracy had considered a switch to NASCAR but decided last October to dovetail another full-time CCWS campaign with a limited Busch programme, beginning at Daytona last Saturday.

"I'm very pleased that we've been able to once again sign two of the most talented drivers in motorsport," said team owner Gerald Forsythe.

"Paul is already a legendary figure in the history of Champ Car and is capable of dominating any event.

"Mario joined our team last year at the last minute and immediately produced outstanding results without any pre-season testing at all.

"I'm excited at the prospects of these two drivers as we seek to repeat our 2003 championship season."

Dominguez admitted he was disappointed to finish a winless ninth in the 2005 points standings and is aiming much higher this season.

"I wasn't very pleased, to tell you the truth, with how the [2005] season went," said the Mexican.

"The biggest problem was that I didn't finish five races. So that was terrible - not finishing five races hurt me a lot in the points.

"I believe I had a strong shot at finishing in the top three in the championship towards the end. The two races I didn't finish at the end of the year didn't help us.

"So I do expect a lot more. I'm going to work a lot harder, and I am going to do everything in my power to get those race wins and to fight for the top spot in the championship."

Tracy is determined to reclaim the championship title he won in 2003, which has since been the exclusive property of Newman/Haas rival Sebastien Bourdais.

"We had some unfinished business last year when we led more laps than anybody but had a lot of bad luck," the Canadian said.

"I've been in a few other types of race cars recently and can say that there's nothing more enjoyable and challenging to drive than a Champ Car."

There was speculation earlier in the winter that Forsythe might run three cars this season, but vice-president of operations Neil Micklewright said that scenario was unlikely.

"Certainly there's been no discussion with regards to entering a third car," he said. "I don't anticipate anything of that nature happening."

Forsythe will begin their pre-season testing programme at Sebring in Florida on Thursday.
