Firman to join Silverstone test
Ralph Firman will return to A1GP action next week when he tests for Team Ireland at the Silverstone circuit
Firman will join Adam Carroll, who will also be in action at the British track after completing a rookie evaluation at Snetterton last week.
Firman will complete the two-day test as he returns to the cockpit of the Irish car following his campaign with the team during the first season of A1GP.
The team said, however, that no decision on the driver line-up for the third season will be made until after the second official test in September.
"I am very happy to have been asked back to drive the Team Ireland car in next week's test," said Firman. "I followed the team's progress very closely last season and know that an enormous effort has been put into doing whatever necessary to give the team a chance of achieving success in the new season.
"It's very clear the team has moved onto a new level. At this stage the test is precisely that - a test for me and the team to see how well we can perform - but naturally my goal is to return to a race seat if that can happen."
