F1's Spanish GP review and Indy 500 preview in this week's Autosport magazine

Lewis Hamilton's crushing victory in the Spanish Grand Prix is the cover story of a packed Autosport magazine this week

Autosport Magazine

Autosport is the UK's must-read motorsport magazine! It is revered by fans and industry personnel alike as the ultimate source of motorsport news and analysis.

As well as covering Hamilton's perfect performance in Barcelona, we also look at the key tech developments, rate all the drivers and provide the important statistics and data from the sixth round of the 2020 Formula 1 season.

It was a busy weekend for international motorsport, with 2011 McLaren Autosport BRDC Award winner Oliver Rowland and former McLaren F1 driver Stoffel Vandoorne taking the final victories of the Formula E season in Berlin.

The World Endurance Championship got back under way at Spa and Gary Watkins was there to see how the Toyota with the biggest success handicap managed to come out on top, and how Porsche topped a typically hard-fought GTE Pro contest.

As ever, we also report on the myriad other meetings, from the DTM encounter at Lausitzring to the extraordinary events at the Red Bull Ring's first MotoGP race of 2020.

There are 11 pages of reports from the UK national racing scene, including the British GT races at Donington Park and two-day historic extravaganza at Thruxton. We also have a column from 2016 British GT4 champion Graham Johnson.

As well as looking at last weekend's meetings, we also look forward to the big event this weekend: the Indianapolis 500. We've devoted a free 36-page supplement to the IndyCar blue-riband.

Fernando Alonso's third attempt to win America's greatest race has so far gone much better than his second. He still has a lot of work to do to climb from 26th on the grid, but his Arrow Schmidt Peterson Motorsports race engineer Craig Hampson tells us how much he is enjoying working with the Spaniard, and why he still shouldn't be discounted.

It's not just about the double F1 world champion, of course, and we run the rule over all the runners and riders in our guide, and talk to Chip Ganassi Racing rising star Felix Rosenqvist.

Our IndyCar guru David Malsher-Lopez also looks at the likely impact of the new aeroscreen and picks out the top 10 Indy 500s from the previous 103 editions.
