Doohan returns to Race of Champions
Motorcycle racing legend Mick Doohan will contest the Race of Champions again this season
The Australian, a five-time 500cc champion, made his debut in the popular winter event when it ran in Beijing last year, and will also be part of the line-up for the 2010 RoC in Dusseldorf on 27-28 November.
"It took me a while to make my RoC debut but now you just can't keep me away," said Doohan. "The Race of Champions is always a fun event, where it's great to meet up with friends old and new from the world of four wheels.
"While it's friendly off the track, it's the opposite when we're at the start line with our engines revving. So I will do my best to show them they should underestimate us bikers at their peril."
Doohan joins the likes of Formula 1 title contender Sebastian Vettel, World Rally champion Sebastien Loeb, former F1 champions Alain Prost and Michael Schumacher, and Le Mans legend Tom Kristensen among the 2010 RoC entrants. Last year's event was won by DTM star Mattias Ekstrom.
