DAMS joins AutoGP for 2010
French GP2 team DAMS has signed up for the new AutoGP championship in 2010
The series will replace Euro 3000 next year, aiming to provide a progression to GP2 through its €1.2 million prize fund and links with other GP2 teams including Coloni Motorsport, whose boss Paolo Coloni runs AutoGP.
DAMS finished fifth in the GP2 entrants' standings in 2009 with Jerome D'Ambrosio and Kamui Kobayashi, and also races in GP2 Asia and Formula BMW Europe.
Team boss Jean-Paul Driot said: "DAMS is really happy to be involved in this championship. AutoGP will allow young and talented drivers to race a powerful car with a really competitive budget, which is necessary in the economic situation."
