Centrix to help charity in Denver GP deal
Centrix Financial, the US automobile financial services specialist in Centennial, CO, has reached agreement with Dover Motorsports to sponsor the 2003 GP of Denver Champ Car World Series street race. Centrix will work with the Denver Grand Prix Foundation to raise money for the National Hospice Foundation. CEO Robert E. Sutton said: "Part of the attraction was that the event provides a way for us to build on the charitable programmes we already have under way."
Centrix's core business is focused on bringing together financial institutions, automobile dealers and consumers with impaired credit in more rewarding ways, and it is on target to underwrite $1bn in loans this year. Its charitable efforts also include work with the Special Olympics, San Diego Children's Hospital, the Colorado SIDS Foundation, Sacred Heart House of Denver, the Hospice of St John's and the Colorado Neurological Institute.
Centrix's motorsport involvement extends to sponsorship in the SCORE Baja 1000 off-road classic and a relationship with current Champ Car World Series points leader Michael Jourdain.
