Brazil Fantasy winner bags Jordan sidepod
What a weekend Brazil turned out to be. After three races full of high drama, excitement and unpredictability, last season, when there were complaints about F1 being too processional, seems a very long time ago. But while this is great for spectators, it increases the challenge for Fantasy Team Managers who attempt to pick the ultimate team for the new look F1
Kimi Raikkonen again proved the highest point-scoring driver this weekend, taking his second straight win, albeit in slightly contentious circumstances. Mark Webber converted his surprising second row start position into seventh place, but only after a wild ride that saw him recover from one wild spin, only to crash heavily a few laps later. Giancarlo Fisichella looked set to take a famous victory, but a countback denied him the win, to the chagrin of the Jordan team and, no doubt, all the Team Managers who had selected him as one of their drivers.
McLaren and Renault have also built up an early lead in both the Chassis and Engine categories. Both took podium finishes in Brazil.
Team Nigel's Back F1 secured victory by an impressive 11 points, with his combination of Heinz-Harald Frentzen and Mark Webber driving a Mercedes powered Renault on Bridgestone tyres proving unstoppable. Nigel's Back F1's manager now has to find a rather large shelf for a genuine piece of Grand Prix history - a Jordan F1 sidepod from the EJ11.
