Birthday Boy Dixon fastest at Michigan
Johansson Motorsport's rookie Scott Dixon celebrated his 19th birthday by going quickest in opening practice for the Indy Lights race at Michigan
The New Zealander led the championship at the beginning of the season but has had a quieter time in recent events. Britain's Jonny Kane was again close to the pace, 3rd fastest on his first visit to the awesome superspeedway.
Qualifying for the race takes place on Friday afternoon, with the race itself the main attraction after CART qualifying on Saturday.
