Biela, Pirro Take Road America Win
Champion Racing duo Frank Biela and Emanuele Pirro won their third successive ALMS race at Road America

The duo took a 3.239-second victory in the seventh round of the series, beating the Dyson Racing Lola Andy Wallace and Chris Dyson. The sister Champion Racing Audi of JJ Lehto and Marco Werner rounded out the podium.
Biela and Pirro's win means their lead in the LMP1 drivers' championship is now 15 points with three rounds left.
"We came in with a big lead in the championship, and our strategy was to do our best," Pirro said. "But we knew we didn't have to win races to win the championship. What really made me very happy is that coming here, we were kind of conservative, but we were able to come in and win more points."
The pole-sitting Lola of James Weaver and Butch Leitzinger had a nightmare race after Weaver spun into a gravel trap trying to lap a GT class Porsche, before being given a stop/go penalty for having too many mechanics working during the driver change and repairs.
