BAR to host MIA's first IP conference
The Motorsport Industry Association is to hold its inaugural Intellectual Property in Motorsport conference on July 10 at the BAR F1 Team Operations Centre in Brackley. The conference is intended to raise the profile of IP exploitation within the industry, outlining how it can be used to increase revenue streams. The event, the first of its kind devoted to the UK motorsport industry, will bring together IP experts and decision-makers from across the sector
Two weeks ago BAR also hosted the MIA's conference on 'Building Competitive Advantage Through a Skilled Workforce', which brought together representatives from across UK motorsport to discuss education and HR issues critical to the future growth of the sector. The event featured contributions from Pat Symonds from Renault F1, Nick Hayes from Cosworth Racing, Sarah Sillars from the Institute of the Motor Industry (IMI) and Trevor Foster from Zytek. The conference was followed by a dinner and an after-dinner speech was given by Nick Fry, the MD of BAR and group MD of Prodrive.
