Award for Pasquali
Ange Pasquali, the former Toyota team manager who recently won his case for unfair dismissal against the outfit, has been handed an award for the work he did with the Japanese car manufacturer
Meteo France, the French weather agency, has awarded Pasquali the Meteo France Medal for his work in getting the company involved in motor racing - firstly at Le Mans and then later in Formula 1.
Speaking at the award ceremony in Paris, Pasquali said: "I am naturally very proud to receive this recognition, as I was instrumental in bringing Meteo France into the world of motorsport right at the beginning back in 1997.
"It has been a great honour for me to be able to collaborate with this organisation which is replete with people of great personal and professional qualities who are always at the cutting edge of new technology within their own sphere of operation."
Meteo France's Jean-Pierre Beysson added: "I am very happy to award Ange Pasquali with the official Medal of Meteo France, which we give in a very selective way to those outside the organisation who have contributed with us to the improvement of our meteorological service.
"Together with him, we have been able to develop our know how and, over seven years, to improve firstly the challenge presented by Le Mans, and then those in Formula 1."
