Audi dominate Petit Le Mans

Audi completed their American Le Mans Series domination on Saturday night, securing the team championship and class manufacturers title with a commanding win of Petit le Mans

Allan McNish and Rinaldo Capello won for the seventh time this season, giving Audi ten consecutive victories in Road Atlanta and seven straight wins at Petit Le Mans.

McNish and Capello finished four laps ahead of the Zytek 06S of Stefan Johansson, Johnny Mowlem and Haruki Kurosawa, after the Audi duo lead the final three hours of the race.

In the GT1 class, Aston Martin took an important win to close the points gap to leaders Corvette, as Tomas Enge and Darren Turner took the No. 007 Aston to a class victory, ahead of teammates Stephane Sarrazin and Pedro Lami, with Corvette's Oliver Gavin, Olivier Beretta and Jan Magnussen in third.

Patrick Long and Jorg Bergmeister took the GT2 class win in their Porsche, finishing two laps ahead of the Risi Competizione Ferrari F430GT.
