Formula One's Super Aguri third driver Giedo van der Garde will race for Victory Engineering in World Series by Renault next year.
The Dutchman tested with the team last month, and the announcement comes less than a week after the team were confirmed on the 2007 entry list for the series.
Team manager David Lowe said: "I'm sure we can look forward to an exciting season with Giedo, it's great to have him on board.
"He worked well with the team in testing, where he showed great signs of improvement to finish in the top three on the first day at Valencia.
"His appointment to the position of third driver at Super Aguri demonstrates what a respected driver he is, and hopefully we can challenge for the championship."
Van der Garde raced in the F3 Euro Series during 2006, where he took one victory on his way to sixth in the standings.
