Strakka Racing has completed its 2014 Formula Renault 3.5 line-up by signing Matias Laine to stay on alongside Will Stevens for a second season.
The 23-year-old, a race winner in GP3 in 2012, made his FR3.5 debut with the team last year in its P1 by Strakka guise, scoring nine points on his way to 23rd in the championship.
Laine said: "Everything I learned with Strakka Racing last year, coupled with the consistency of the team, gives me the opportunity to put the knowledge and experience I have gained to my advantage in 2014."
While Strakka will race with an unchanged line-up in 2014, the team had appeared a likely destination for Ferrari protege Raffaele Marciello after he starred in post-season testing last year.
However, with Ferrari deciding that it wants the Formula 3 European champion to race in GP2 this year in an as-yet unannounced programme, Strakka has opted for consistency in its line-up.
Strakka team manager and chief engineer Mike Henderson said: "I think the combination of an unchanged driver line-up and a fast car puts us in a promising position to challenge for both the drivers' and the teams' championship."

Williams Formula 1 driver Valtteri Bottas believes Matias Laine was his fiercest rival back when they raced together in karting.
"2006 was my last year of karting, and I won the Finnish championship," Bottas told AUTOSPORT.
"Until the last lap I was battling with Matias Laine. He was very quick in go-karts and he was good.
"There were many other Finns who were very quick in go-karts but just couldn't find their way up to higher categories."
