Sperafico wins at Mugello
Brazilian Ricardo Sperafico triumphed in the second round of the Italian F3000 series at Mugello near Scarperia
The former UK Formula Ford driver won from FIA F3000 refugee Thomas Biagi, while secretively-monikered 'Babalus' completed the podium.
The Sperafico brothers, Ricardo and Rodrigo have returned to international competition after a two year sojourn in Sud-Am Formula 3.
After being considered for the Petrobras Jr. drive in FIA F3000 that Jaime Melo Jr. eventually won, Ricardo moved to the F3000 feeder series.
All 20 finishers ended the race on the lead lap, confirming the high level of competition there is in this series. The grid was full, with a generous 26 entrants all making the start.
