Senna says GP2 a two-year project

The Brazilian will race for Arden this year, but he is expecting to spend the first season learning after stepping up from Formula Three.

"For me GP2 is a two-year project, and this year will be a very good learning year," Senna said on the central stage at the Autosport International show.

"I want to go for the title in 2008. It will be a big challenge because GP2 is a very competitive series."

Senna has spent plenty of time behind the wheel of GP2 cars over the winter, but he admitted that the pressure of a race weekend will be a real test.

"Going quickly in testing is one thing, but going quickly in qualifying when you only have half an hour of practice is another," he said.

Arden team boss Christian Horner believes that Senna can be competitive in his first year, even if he will be in the series for two seasons.

"Bruno is looking at a two-year programme but he will develop quickly over the course of the year," he said. "I think he will be challenging at the front in the near future."
