Nicholas Latifi fastest on day two of GP2 Abu Dhabi test
Canadian driver Nicholas Latifi topped the second day of GP2 post-season testing in Abu Dhabi, running with DAMS
After setting the second-fastest time on Wednesday, Latifi - who contested several GP2 rounds with MP Motorsport this year - recorded a time of 1m47.860s late in the evening session.
It was good enough to finish the day 0.175 seconds ahead of Norman Nato for ART Grand Prix.
Sergey Sirotkin was third, having also spent a period at the top of the timesheets following a red flag for a Felix Rosenqvist crash 30 minutes into the evening session.
Running with GP2 newcomer Prema, the European Formula 3 champion was 17th in the evening and 20th in the morning, several spots behind Formula Renault 3.5 champion Oliver Rowland in Prema's other Dallara.
Runner-up to Rosenqvist in F3, Antonio Giovinazzi turned his first GP2 laps with Carlin in the evening session, setting the 18th-fastest time.
Artem Markelov led the way in the morning with a time of 1m49.008s, just ahead of Latifi, with Andre Negrao third for Rapax and Richie Stanaway fourth for Carlin.
A DAMS driver in 2015, Pierre Gasly spent the day with Russian Time, whose race winner this season, Mitch Evans, joined Campos.
Giovinazzi and Evans started the week testing Audi's DTM racer at Jerez, in that series' young driver test.
