Jackson tips Senna for title charge

iSport boss Paul Jackson believes that Bruno Senna is ready to fight for the GP2 Series title in 2008

The Brazilian will race for the reigning champions in what will be only his fourth full season of racing, but Jackson believes that Senna has the ability to beat his more experienced rivals.

"I see Bruno as one of those single-minded personalities that has the determination to reach the top," said Jackson. "Having gone through a tough learning year (with Arden), we feel he is ready to be a real championship contender.

"Although he has less mileage than other drivers, he has clearly demonstrated his intelligence and maturity that will prove vital as he takes on this very demanding challenge."

Senna tested with the team during the winter prior to the 2007 season, and he impressed again when he joined them again for tests at the end of the year.

"Bruno's feedback to the engineers was detailed and accurate and it confirmed our opinion that he is able to run consistently at the front," he added. "The whole team is looking forward to the coming season."

Senna added: "I am happy that everything has worked out. iSport provides me with everything I need to fight for victories and the championship."
