Di Grassi not changing approach
Lucas di Grassi has said that he will continue to aim for consistency as he fights for the GP2 title, despite scoring his maiden victory in the series last weekend
The Brazilian is just two points behind Timo Glock in the championship standings, and he believes that his slightly conservative strategy is still the best way to approach the final few races.
"I'm going to continue with the same strategy as before and go as fast as you can," he said, "but try to manage your risk as best you can also.
"I've been pushing as hard as I can. The times I didn't have the car to win I finished fourth, fifth, third, and scored the most points I could.
"On Saturday I had the chance to win and the car to win, and I won. I'm pretty happy with that."
The ART driver briefly moved into the lead of the standings after Saturday's race, but he slipped behind Glock again after the German driver won Sunday's sprint race.
However, he believes that the fact that he was able to sneak ahead of the iSport driver in the championship proves that his approach is working.
"If you're leading the championship at any point you're not doing anything wrong," he added.
"In a long-term championship, the way I dealt with it when I didn't have the best car was good enough to keep me fighting."
Glock and di Grassi are now a long way ahead of the rest of the field in the standings, with just three double-header rounds remaining.
