DBA financial crisis continues

The Den Bla Avis team will miss its second race in succession this weekend as the cash-strapped outfit continues to search for financial support in its fight for survival

The team has no drivers signed for the German round and the its transporter did not leave DBA's base in Norfolk to make the journey to Hockenheim for round eight of the FIA F3000 International series.

"We are still exploring possibilities to get drivers in for the last two races," said team boss Paul Jackson. "The timeframe for Hockenheim, plus clashing races in other series, made it hard to find drivers, but there are possibilities for Hungary and Italy."

There are rumours suggesting that DBA could link up with the Euro F3000 team Draco Racing for the last two rounds but the latter's team boss Nadia Morini has ruled this out: "We want to finish the Euro F3000 series this year and then look at what is happening for 2004."
