Carroll Enjoys Eventful Race

Adam Carroll was in the centre of a number of running battles on track in race one at Barcelona, and enjoyed his race immensely as a result

The Ulsterman was laughing out loud with DPR drivers Ryan Sharp and Olivier Pla after the race as the trio explained their eventful races to each other, all three sawing their hands back and forth as they described their various moves.

Carroll and Pla had one battle together, which was resolved when the Ulsterman lost the rear end of his car and spun in the middle of the track - Pla was able to flick by with two wheels on the grass and was straight past.

"It was certainly a long race!" Carroll laughed afterwards. "The car felt okay but I think it could have been a little better, but my pit stop went well and after that I had lots of grip on the front and less on the back.

"Unfortunately that meant it was hard to get the balance right, and I spun at one of the corners but kept it on the track."

His run to seventh means a strong grid position for tomorrow's race, and he noted: "At least tomorrow I will be starting on the front row of the grid, so I hope for another podium!"
