Campos expects wins with Pantano
Adrian Campos believes that highly-experienced new signing Giorgio Pantano will bring his GP2 team their first race wins - and possibly a championship title - in 2007
Campos officially launched their new GP2 line-up on Monday, with Italian Pantano joined by Russian Vitaly Petrov in the squad's first ever entirely non-Spanish driver pairing.
The team have taken just one podium in the first two seasons of GP2, but Campos is confident that 2007 will be a very different story.
"We are looking forward to this new season because I believe that we have formed one of the most powerful teams in the championship," said Campos.
"With Giorgio we are sure to be fighting to win races and hopefully even the championship.
"We have improved the team with the arrival of prestigious engineers who, together with those already in place at Campos Grand Prix, will allow us to think about being able to fight to be at the front."
Former Jordan Formula One driver Pantano won three GP2 races for Giancarlo Fisichella's FMS International operation last year, but has yet to mount a title challenge in the series.
Campos expects steady improvement from Petrov, a former Italian Formula 3000 frontrunner who failed to score in a GP2 part-season with DPR in 2006.
"Vitaly already has the benefit of experience in the championship and for this reason we hope that, particularly in the second part of the season, he will be able to demonstrate his potential," said Campos.
