Andre Negrao moves to GP2 with Arden for 2014

Andre Negrao will move from Formula Renault 3.5 to GP2 for 2014 with Arden Motorsport

The 21-year-old Brazilian has spent the past three years in FR3.5 with Draco.

In that time he claimed two podiums, while his breakthrough pole came at the Hungaroring in 2013. He finished the season 10th overall.

Arden's sporting director Julian Rouse said the team had been tracking Negrao, who has also tested tested for Racing Engineering in GP2, for the past two years.

"With Arden's involvement in FR3.5 as well we were able to follow Andre's performances and progress closely over the last two seasons," Rouse said.

"He produced some really strong results in what is a very competitive championship .

"There is always a lot to learn in GP2 as a rookie, but Andre looked like he adapted very well to the car in the Abu Dhabi tests and so we are confident he can have a strong first season.

"The important thing is that he fits in well with the team and works hard and we have no doubt he will do that."

Negrao completes Arden's 2014 line-up, with the team having already signed Rene Binder.
