Watts to Race with Eurointernational

Former British Formula Three race-winner Danny Watts will compete in this weekend's World Series by Renault finale at Monza with EuroInternational

Fabio Carbone had driven with the team in the last two races, but the Brazilian is committed to racing in the F3 Euroseries finale at Hockenheim instead.

Carbone recommended Watts to the team, after the pair knew each other having both trained together on the Renault Driver Development scheme.

Watts has limited experience of World Series by Renault, having completed five laps of Paul Ricard in a track test for Motorsport News in March.

Watts, who has competed in selected British F3 and F3 Euroseries races this season, told Autosport-Atlas: "I've got to thank Fabio for recommending me. It will be in at the deep end but I will do my best in the testing.

"I have to learn the car and the circuit, but hopefully it can put me in the shop window for next season. This series is where I want to be.

"The only pitstop I've done before is in endurance karting, so I will have to learn that too."

The 25 year-old will be the second British driver on the grid this weekend, joining ex-GP2 racer Ryan Sharp at Jenzer Motorsport.

Ben Hanley, who raced with Cram Competition at Estoril, will not race in the World Series in Monza, but will focus on winning the Formula Renault 2.0 Italia title at the same meeting. Regular driver Eric Salignon will return to the team in his place.
