Ricciardo forced to miss Jerez test
British Formula 3 champion Daniel Ricciardo will miss this weekend's second Formula Renault 3.5 collective test at Jerez after sustaining a minor injury in a mountain bike accident
His Tech 1 squad has recruited Julien Jousse, who competed for the Toulouse team between 2007 and 2008, to deputise for the Australian.
Tech 1 will be reduced to a single car on Saturday as Brendon Hartley is on Red Bull Formula 1 reserve duties in Bahrain. The Kiwi is scheduled to return to Spain to compete in the final day of running on Sunday.
American rookie Jake Rosenzweig is another absentee owing to commitments in Bahrain. Entered in the GP2 Asia finale with Super Nova, Rosenzweig will be replaced at Carlin by ART Formula 3 Euro Series racer Alex Sims.
Fortec Motorsport will run Briton William Buller alongside its confirmed driver Sten Pentus. Buller is committed to racing in this year's British F3 championship with Hitech Racing.
Former Euro F3 Open racer Sergio Canamasas, who drove Fortec's second car in Barcelona earlier this month, will instead run with ISR.
Austrian team Interwetten, which has yet to announce any signings for its Formula Renault 3.5 team, will not participate in the test.
