The Formula Renault Eurocup champion's deal was confirmed on Wednesday, and he will be looking to follow in the footsteps of his predecessors Robin Frijns and Stoffel Vandoorne, who both starred in their rookie FR3.5 seasons after winning the Eurocup title.
Gasly, who replaces Antonio Felix da Costa in Arden's Red Bull-backed car for next year, believes it is realistic to keep that trend going.
"For next year I think that the goal is clear," he said. "I have seen from this year and previous seasons that it is possible to do a good job in the first season so the goal is to win the championship.
"I will have to work hard during this winter but I am very motivated and I think it is possible with Arden."
