Quaife-Hobbs fastest in Aragon test

Adrian Quaife-Hobbs continued his impressive adaption to Formula Renault 3.5 by topping both session's in today's opening collective test at Motorland Aragon

Having also shone in testing at Barcelona last week, the former GP3 racer continued his association with Comtec and recorded a benchmark lap of 1m43.055s this afternoon.

American ISR driver Alexander Rossi ended the day as the Briton's closest challenger, finishing 0.369s adrift of his former GP3 colleague.

P1 Motorsport's Brendon Hartley was third overall. The Kiwi was second in the morning on 1m43.681s, before finding two tenths in the second session.

Remaining in his regular 2010 seat, KMP Racing's Anton Nebylitskiy took fourth in both sessions.

The Russian headed Hartley's P1 Motorsport team-mate Walter Grubmuller and Federico Leo in the morning.

Italian Leo enjoyed a debut outing with ISR having competed with Pons Racing this year.

Compatriot and fellow Pons refugee Daniel Zampieri took fifth this afternoon with former champions Draco.

Pons, Junior Lotus and FHV Interwetten elected to sit out the test. Junior Lotus will return on Tuesday, when this season's Formula 3 and Formula Renault 2.0 champions will attend prize tests.
