Practice: Zonta sets early pace
Dallara Nissan championship leader Ricardo Zonta set the pace in practice for this weekend's round at Valencia, the last race of the series to be held in Europe
The Brazilian, who hopes to claim the title when the cars race in his homeland next month, put in a strong performance to record a lap of 1m23.208s around the twisty Spanish circuit.
Title rivals Franck Montagny and Bas Leinders were fifth and 12th respectively. Justin Wilson, who set the pace in the first session, was fifth fastest, while ASCAR champion Nicolas Minassian did an excellent job in his first run in the car to end up seventh quickest.
