Lloyd to Race for DAMS at Monaco
Former McLaren Autosport Award winner Alex Lloyd will race for DAMS at this weekend's World Series by Renault race at Monaco
Lloyd replaces Alx Danielsson, who broke his ankle at the season opener at Zolder.
"We had enough money to do three Italian 3000 races or one World Series race at Monaco," Lloyd told Autosport-Atlas. "My sponsors said Monaco."
"It will be an uphill struggle because I have never driven there and I have had only 10 laps in the car at a wet Magny Cours.
"Alx is 50/50 to return at the following round at Valencia, so I could drive there too. I'm still looking at finishing this year with a few Champ Car races."
Lloyd will then fly from Monaco to Brands Hatch where he will be part of A1 GP's shoot out for the Team GBR drive early next week.
"I have barely driven a car since last season, so getting so much track time in a week will be good for me," Lloyd added.
