Bianchi to drive for SG in Monaco
SG Formula has announced that Jules Bianchi will lead its line-up when it joins the Formula Renault 3.5 series in Monte Carlo
The Formula Renault and Formula 3 Euro Series team has taken over KTR's entries and equipment for its graduation to the Renault championship.
Bianchi is currently only expected to join SG, which took him to the 2007 French FRenault title, for Monaco, as he has a drive with ART in the F3 Euro Series this year. The 19-year-old is among the F3 title favourites, having won the 2008 Masters event and finished third in the Euro Series at the first attempt.
Team boss Stephane Guerin said that SG was aware it would take time to get up to speed after its late arrival in the series.
"The FR3.5 season is already under way, so we are not expecting any miracles on the results front," he said. "Our aim is to gain experience in the category and be ready for 2010. We are in this for the long haul."
SG plans to field Anton Nebylitskiy in its other car for the full season, although the Russian's move is being opposed by the Comtec team, which ran him in the opening four races.
