Antonio Felix da Costa eyes full FR3.5 season in 2013
Antonio Felix da Costa hopes to return to Formula Renault 3.5 next year so he can fight for the championship
The Portuguese racer was drafted in at Arden Caterham after three of nine rounds this season, as he replaced Lewis Williamson in the Red Bull Junior Team.
Da Costa went on to win four of the last five races of the year to take fourth in the championship, and he has already set his sights on a championship push for 2013.
"This was a good second half of the season in World Series," he said. "Good for me and the team to show that all the work we have done paid off.
"I don't know anything about the future, but hopefully we have another year here so we can chase the title."
The 21-year-old will drive for Red Bull in the upcoming Formula 1 young driver test at Abu Dhabi, but he believes it is too soon to be thinking about graduating to the top level of the sport.
"I'm slowly putting my feet into F1, and I have to thank Red Bull for this opportunity," he added.
"This season was going to be tough for me to keep going, but we had a very good deal in GP3 with an awesome team in Carlin, and to be honest that led me to the Red Bull Junior Team.
"And here I am now, ready to go to Formula 1. I think it's a bit too early for me, but let's see what happens."
