Renault e.dams retains Buemi and Prost for Formula E season three
Renault e.dams has retained Sebastien Buemi and Nicolas Prost for a third Formula E season
Buemi and Prost clinched the FE teams' championship for e.dams in the inaugural campaign prior to Renault's arrival as a technical partner.
The two drivers have also established a seven-point lead over Abt Audi Sport in the race for this year's teams' honours with three races remaining.
Confirming the line-up on the eve of the Berlin ePrix, senior team manager Alain Prost said he was targeting "an even more successful third season together".
Buemi finished runner-up in the drivers' standings in season one and is in the hunt for this year's title, trailing Lucas di Grassi by 11 points.
He told Autosport Renault e.dams offered him the best chance to continue to win races and fight for the title.
"It's a perfect combination with the World Endurance Championship," said the Toyota LMP1 driver.
"I'm very happy to continue with FE.
"It's good to have stability, especially with a one-day format - if you have to learn to work with new people it can take three or four FE weekends to learn what you would in one elsewhere.
"The work has been very good - not as individuals, but as a team."
While Nico Prost has struggled this season to match his team-mate's results, scoring just one podium, e.dams chief Jean-Paul Driot described the line-up as "the best pairing in the series".
"Each year our objectives get tougher and tougher, so stability is key to success," Driot added. "But we haven't sacrificed speed for steadiness."
