Moscow Formula E: Sebastien Buemi leads practice sessions

With a time of 1m10.402s, Buemi led team-mate Nicolas Prost by 0.698s in the opening session, the pair's late qualifying simulations ensuring Buemi was more than two seconds clear of third-placed Bruno Senna.

Buemi, the series' only double winner thus far, went fastest again in the second session with a 1m09.985s lap.

Jean-Eric Vergne was his closest challenger, 0.227s behind, with championship leader Nelson Piquet Jr third fastest.

Antonio Felix da Costa was fourth, despite sitting out the first half of the session to have a battery changed, ahead of Lucas di Grassi, Nick Heidfeld, Karun Chandhok and eventual Berlin winner Jerome d'Ambrosio.

Making his Formula E debut with Andretti Autosport, IndyCar regular Justin Wilson was 11th.

Loic Duval had a fraught morning. He ended the first session in the wall at the back chicane, and then crashed at Turn 1 in the second session.

Sam Bird's Virgin Racing entry caused the only other red flag, when it shed a wheel exiting Turn 1 early in the first session.

Bird's fortunes didn't improve in the second session, which he finished at the foot of the times after suffering a throttle sensor failure.
