Thirty-car entry for Macau F3 GP

Five past or present Formula 3 champions, plus a host of GP3 race winners, have signed up to be part of a 30-car entry for this November's Macau F3 GP

British F3 champion Felipe Nasr (Carlin), plus his Euro Series counterpart Roberto Merhi (Prema Powerteam), will be joined by 2007 British title winner Marko Asmer (Double R Racing), 2009 German F3 champion Laurens Vanthoor (Signature), and new German F3 Cup winner Richie Stanaway (Van Amersfoort Racing).

GP3 champion Valtteri Bottas, who is also a double Masters of Formula 3 winner, will return to an event in which he finished on the podium last year, racing alongside Asmer and Mark Webber protege Mitch Evans in one of Double R's three Dallara-Mercedes.

Fellow GP3 frontrunners Alexander Sims (TOM'S) and Antonio Felix da Costa (Hitech Racing) have also secured one-off drives for the famous event.

Da Costa will race alongside British F3 race winner Pietro Fantin and Dutch rookie Hannes van Asseldonk in Hitech's three-car Dallara-Volkswagen line-up, while 2008 McLaren AUTOSPORT BRDC Award winner Sims will race alongside fellow Brit Richard Bradley in one of crack Japanese outfit TOM'S' two Dallara-Toyotas.

French squad Signature, which helped DTM rookie Edoardo Mortara to become the first double winner of the Macau GP last year, will run five Dallara-VWs for Vanthoor, his Euro Series team-mates Marco Wittmann, Daniel Abt and Carlos Munoz, plus Red Bull-backed Formula Renault Eurocup runner-up Carlos Sainz Jr.

Arch Euro Series rival Prema will run just two Mercedes-powered cars - for FIA International Trophy winner Merhi and his fellow Spaniard Daniel Juncadella.

Top British F3 team Carlin will take four Dallara-VWs to Macau, for Nasr, multiple British F3 race winner Kevin Magnussen, Colombian Carlos Huertas and Malaysian Jazeman Jaafar.

German squad Mucke Motorsport will take two cars, for Masters of F3 winner Felix Rosenqvist and local driver Michael Ho, while Fortec Motorsport will also run a pair of Dallara-Mercedes for regular British F3 drivers Will Buller and Lucas Foresti.

Fledgling British F3 squad Sino Vision Racing will also take two cars, for team owner/driver Adderly Fong and Welshman Hywel Lloyd, while single-car Japanese F3 entries for Hironobu Yasuda (Three Bond Racing) and Hideki Yamauchi (Toda Racing) complete line-up.
