Sims: Only title will suffice in 2010
Alexander Sims has declared that he is out to win this year's Formula 3 Euro Series title as he prepares for his second season in the championship
The 2008 McLaren AUTOSPORT BRDC Award winner has switched from Mucke Motorsport to reigning champion team ART Grand Prix for the upcoming season, and speaking on the stage at AUTOSPORT International, said that he was aiming to continue the French squad's run of success.
"It's just the situation that I want to be in the best team, and ART have proved to be that over the years," Sims said. "I just want to go out there and win the championship."
Sims also acknowledged the boost that his career had received since he was handed the Award, an honour that he shares with previous winners including David Coulthard, Paul di Resta and Jenson Button.
"It opened a hell of a lot of doors," he said. "It's incredible how one point in your life can change the course so much. I was very, very impressed with all the people at McLaren that I met through the Award, and from that you just keep asking questions, keep pushing people to open up as many doors as possible, and it has really changed my life."
