Post Race Quotes - Hockenheim

Round One

Atila Abreu (Mucke Motorsport): "The Formula Three Euro Series is an incredibly competitive series with many skilled drivers on its grid. I'm happy to have secured eighth place in my maiden race; after all, this means that I was the best rookie. I have to thank my entire team."

Maximilian Gotz (HBR Motorsport): "I made a solid start and succeeded in gaining one position. Then, there was a lot of chaos in the hairpin and I had to go to the outside to avoid a collision. Therefore, I lost three positions but I succeeded in working my way back up, in the course of the race. I'm happy with my fifth place."

Fabio Carbone (Signature): "It was a difficult race for me as my car's performance was hampered by several problems."

Ross Zwolsman (Zwolsman): "From my 19th grid position, I worked my way up to seventh place, and on the way to achieving this result I made several nice overtaking manoeuvres. My car was great to drive, but I made a major braking mistake on lap three, flat-spotting one of my tyres. Nevertheless, I'm happy with my performance."

Alejandro Nunez (HBR Motorsport): "This wasn't a good race for me. From lap three I was hampered by major oversteer and in the closing stages, my engine failed and I had to retire."

Loic Duval (Signature-Plus): "This was a truly tough race. When approaching the first hairpin, everybody braked incredibly early and I crashed into the rear of Esteban Guerrieri. It was anything but an easy race for me, but at the end of the day I succeeded in scoring some points by finishing sixth. Tomorrow I will be second on the grid and should be able to secure a better result."

Sebastian Vettel (Mucke Motorsport): "My start was rather poor. I tried to avoid the chaos in the hairpin but then I was hit from behind. Yet, I don't want to blame anybody as things like that just happen in motor racing. At first my engine refused to start, but at the end of the day it started and I could rejoin the race far behind the field. Therefore, my race was rather boring, but I think my lap times weren't that bad, and I'm happy that I was able to continue after my accident."

James Rossiter (Signature-Plus): "This was a nice race. Due to my poor qualifying this morning I had to start from far behind. Considering that, fourth place is a good result for me and my team."

Round Two

Adrian Sutil (ASM F3): "Today's race wasn't as good as yesterday's. From my tenth position on the grid, I had already worked my way up to fourth, but at the end of the day I had to retire due to a gearbox failure. It's a pity but these things happen."

Maximilian Gotz (HBR Motorsport): "I was 23rd on the grid but I experienced some nice laps in the early stages, thus working my way up to eleventh position. At first, the handling of my car was just fantastic, but I think that we opted for the wrong tyre pressure, as I couldn't continue to push, during the last eight laps."

Richard Antinucci (Team Midland Euroseries): "This was a good race. I started from the penultimate row of the grid and had nothing to lose. I was quick in the closing stages; I think I even was the fastest. I proved that I'm really quick in these weather conditions."

Sebastian Vettel (Mucke Motorsport): "My start was one of the worst on the entire grid, that's for sure. Therefore, I lost many positions. But afterwards, my race ran quite well and I succeeded in working my way back up. In the closing stages, the tyre performance degraded and it felt like racing on ice."

Giedo van der Garde (Team Rosberg): "I made a truly great start. During the last rounds, I came close to closing the gap to Lewis Hamilton. One lap more and I'd have had the chance of passing him for third place."

Alejandro Nunez (HBR Motorsport): "Due to yesterday's blown engine I had to start from the end of the grid. My car handled fine in the early stages, but the dryer the track, the worse its handling. At least I could finish the race."

Fabio Carbone (Signature): "In the beginning, on the wet track, everything was okay, but when the track started drying I experienced a tyre problem."

Gregory Franchi (Prema Powerteam): "This was an extremely difficult race. Due to the rain it was anything but easy to find a good set-up. Now I'm looking forward to the next round, at Pau."
