Parente Makes it Monza Double
Alvaro Parente made it a Monza double this afternoon, when he took a comfortable victory in a far calmer second British F3 race
The Portuguese driver again beat his Carlin Motorsport teammate Charlie Kimball, but this time he was never headed after yet another good start.
With Danilo Dirani coming in third again, the podium was a repeat of the earlier one. Again Dirani had a fight to get ahead of Mike Conway, but the Fortec Motorsport driver was unable to threaten the Brazilian in the latter stages and took fourth.
Tim Bridgman was comfortably third most of the way, but once Dirani overtook him he missed a couple of chicanes in his fightback and was excluded from the results. Bridgman's Hitech Racing teammate Marko Asmer lost further ground in the Championship when his car failed to start for the race.
Parente will start tomorrow's final race from pole position as well. The Sunday encounter replaces the first race cancelled at Spa earlier in the year, and Parente recorded his pole in qualifying at the Belgian track.
