Parente, Kimball on Front Row

The weather changed completely for the second British F3 qualifying session at Monza, but the result remained a Carlin Motorsport one-two. And this time it was Championship leader Alvaro Parente who was fastest

It came as no surprise that Charlie Kimball again joined him on the front row after the pair showed their dry-weather pace yesterday and Kimball's wet pole this morning. Marko Asmer (Hitech Racing) went one better than in the first session with third.

Mike Conway (Fortec Motorsport) recovered from a poor earlier session to take fourth, ahead of the first Lola car, Danilo Dirani in the P1 Motorsport entry. Ryan Lewis couldn't match his first-session pace and ended up sixth for T-Sport.

With Parente on the front row for both of today's races, he looks well placed to build on his points lead on this crucial weekend. He has already secured pole for the third race, which takes place tomorrow, after setting fastest time in qualifying at Spa in April before the race was cancelled.
