Merhi stripped of race two podium
F3 Euro Series leader Roberto Merhi has been docked two places in the race two results for going outside the track limits to pass a car
The Prema Powerteam driver charged from eighth on the grid to second in Saturday's second race. But his pass on Signature driver Marco Wittmann was deemed outside the regulations.
Merhi had gone wide at Turn 1 on the opening lap to pass Wittmann, and it was decided that he had only been able to pull off the move through excessive use of the run-off.
The officials gave Merhi a 2.4-second penalty, dropping him behind Munoz and Wittmann. The changed result also reduced the Spaniard's nine-point championship lead over Daniel Juncadella to six.
