Kimball Makes it a Perfect Weekend

Carlin Motosport's Charlie Kimball completed his dominance of this weekend's Thruxton round of the British F3 International Series, after winning the second race

Kimball was unbeaten all weekend, netting two pole positions and two race wins. It was the first time an American had won both weekend races in British F3's history.

"Winning races is cool and setting fastest lap too is as perfect as you can get," Kimball said. "Now I have champagne in my eyes."

The podium for race two emulated the first race, with Estonian Markko Asmer in second and Dane Christian Bakkerud third.

T-Sport's Ryan Lewis finished fourth after a brave move around the outside of Double-R's Dan Clarke at the final chicane. Mike Conway also passed Clarke to finish fifth.

Portuguese driver Alvaro Parente's Championship hopes took a blow after a collision with Hitech's Tim Bridgman, which sent both of them spinning down the order.

Australia's Barton Mawer took his second National Class victory of the day, and he said: "I'm going to have a great party tonight - isn't it a bank holiday in this country tomorrow?"
