Hamilton Also Wins Race 2
Lewis Hamilton continued his streak of success, also winning the second F3 Euroseries race at Monaco, after teammate Adrian Sutil hit the wall at St. Devote on lap 19, having piled on the pressure throughout the start of the race
Hamilton led Sutil away from pole, with Loic Duval again behind the ASM pair but ahead of Franck Perera, who took fifth position from James Rossiter at the start.
The race settled in immediately, with Hamilton and Sutil swapping fastest laps and pulling easily away from the rest of the pack.
On lap nine Richard Antinucci, who was in ninth position, was tapped into a spin by a pursuing Guillaume Moreau, who ran over the American's nose and broke his suspension, putting the pair out of the running.
Guido Van Der Garde limped into retirement after flying off the kerbs beyond the swimming pool complex and hitting the wall - the repeat of an earlier mistake by Kohei Hirate. But on lap 14, when Hamilton did the same under pressure from Sutil, he was spared any damage and was able to continue the race.
With his teammate's handling affected by the accident, Sutil pushed even harder, trying to find a way around Hamilton. The pressure was to no avail - Sutil lost his car under braking at St. Devote a few laps later and was out on the spot.
With the pressure off, Hamilton was able to nurse his car home for the remaining seven laps - he had a ten second gap to newly promoted second place driver Duval, who was himself a few seconds in front of Perera and Rossiter.
The laps rolled down without incident, until Atila Abreu lost his car at the Mirabeau corner, while Hamilton went on to claim yet another win for his ASM team.
