Gutierrez fastest in Monza practice
GP3 championship leader Esteban Gutierrez has set the fastest time in today's free practice session at Monza
The Mexican's 1m44.331s effort was enough to ward off a late flying lap from Carlin's Josef Newgarden, who fell 0.161s short.
Jenzer Motorsport pairing Nico Muller and Simon Trummer were just behind them, with Carlin's Dean Smith and early pace-setter Mirko Bortolotti of Addax rounding out the top six.
James Jakes marked his return after missing Hungary and Spa with a hand injury by clocking the fastest time of the three Manor Motorsport drivers to put himself in ninth, just ahead of ART's Alexander Rossi.
