Formula 3 qualifying postponed at the Norisring
Formula 3 qualifying at the Norisring has been postponed until Saturday morning due to problems with the condition of the Nuremberg street circuit

Friday's activity, which should also have included a German Porsche Carrera Cup free practice session, was called off after parts of the track broke up during Volkswagen Scirocco R-Cup free practice, which ran immediately after the DTM session.
Although no official statement has been made on the problems, series organisers have confirmed that qualifying for the F3 event - which counts for the 'big three' European, Euro Series and British F3 competitions - will be held at 8.10am on Saturday, just three and a half hours before the first of the three races.
Southern Germany has been extremely hot today, with ambient temperatures in the mid-thirties and track temperatures at the Norisring in the mid-forties.
At present, parts of the circuit are being doused with water hoses from fire engines as a precursor to work being carried out to repair it. Saturday's forecast is for temperatures in the low-thirties with some rain showers.
