Foresti moves to Carlin for 2010
Lucas Foresti has made a late switch from Hitech Racing to rival squad Carlin for his move into British F3 this season
Carlin's line-up of Dallara-Volkswagens will expand to six cars to accommodate the 17-year-old Brazilian, who tested with Carlin's F3 team over the winter, before signing for Hitech.
"It is quite last minute, but I am delighted that it has been possible to join Carlin for the 2010 season," said Foresti, who finished third in Sudam F3 last season.
"I got on very well with the team when I tested with them during the winter and again with the GP3 team a few weeks ago.
"This year will be hard for me, as I have never raced in Europe before so I don't have the experience that many of the drivers do.
"This season will be a learning experience, but I still hope we can be competitive from the very first race."
Carlin race director Trevor Carlin is confident Foresti will progress well, despite coming to the team late in the day.
"Lucas is very young and doesn't benefit from the same amount of experience as a lot of the other drivers, but he has great potential for the future," added Carlin.
"It will be an extremely competitive season this year in British F3, but we will help Lucas as much as possible to fight for points from the outset."
