Da Costa completes Motopark line-up
Motopark Academy has announced that Portuguese racer Antonio Felix da Costa will complete its three-car Formula 3 Euro Series line-up for 2010
Da Costa dominated the Formula Renault Northern European Cup (NEC) in 2009, and in addition finished as the highest placed rookie in the FR2.0 Eurocup, taking third overall in the standings. He already has a relationship with Tiago Monteiro's Ocean GP2 squad with a view to a 2011 graduation.
Motopark has now filled all seven of the F3 cars it will run across the Euro and German series in 2010, and all seven drivers have previous experience with Timo Rumpfkeil's squad.
In the Euro Series, da Costa will continue his partnership with former Formula Renault 2.0 team-mates Briton Adrian Quaife-Hobbs and Finn Matias Laine. A four-car assault on the German ATS Formula 3 Cup will be conducted by this year's FRenault NEC runner-up Kevin Magnussen, 16-year-old Brazilian Luis Derani, Swede Jimmy Eriksson and Luis Sa Silva from Angola.
"All of the drivers know each other and I hope that this will have a positive impact for the coming season," said Rumpfkeil.
"Due to the fact that we worked together with all seven drivers, we know their strengths and weaknesses very well. We will be able to continue our work seamlessly, a situation which will be an advantage to both driver and team."
