Carroll set to stay in Euroseries
Adam Carroll is likely to complete the Euroseries F3 season with KMS-Opel racing. He is certain to take part in the next round at Zandvoort and seems earmarked to complete the season, as further details of his detail of his move emerged in this week's AUTOSPORT Magazine.
Carroll appears to be in favour with Opel boss Volker Strycek and senior Opel DTM driver Alain Menu. The two figures arranged the deal for Carroll after he had to switch teams three times in the difficult British F3 campaign this year. Carroll is now determined to make the most of driving for a manufacturer-backed team.
"You don't often get the chance of getting in with a manufacturer," said Carroll. "But we'll see what happens with Opel. There is no more professional F3 championship than the Euroseries."
The Northern Irishman impressed with a sixth place in race 1 at the A1-Ring last weekend. It was his first Euroseries outing as well as his circuit début.
"Opel were very pleased with what Adam did in Austria," said Menu. "If he does the last three races he will be able to show what he can do."
