Carlin sign Moraes for Masters
South American Formula Three Championship leader Mario Moraes will make his European racing debut with Carlin Motorsport at the annual Masters event at Zandvoort in August
"He comes to Europe with a lead in the South American F3 series and a growing reputation and he showed real promise at Pembrey in testing last week," said team boss Trevor Carlin.
"I'm really keen to see Mario racing against the cream of Europe in the Masters event but it will be a tough baptism for him as circuit time is very limited before qualifying."
Brazilian teenager Moraes has won three of the first five rounds of this year's SudAm series. He will be joined at the Masters by Carlin's regular British F3 drivers Oliver Jarvis, Maro Engel and Christian Bakkerud.
"This is a great opportunity for me to begin my European learning with the British championship winning team," Moraes said.
"I was very impressed with the professionalism of the team, this is definitely a level above what we have in Brazil because the equipment is more modern and the technical side is slightly more advanced."
