British F3 firms up 2011 calendar

The race dates for the 2011 British Formula 3 Championship have been confirmed

The series had already announced the circuits it would visit next season, and has now finalised the dates as well.

The season will open with a mid-April fixture at Monza, before visiting Oulton Park a week later.

Races on the new Snetterton 300 circuit and Brands Hatch GP layout will follow, before the championship visits Paul Ricard for the first time since 1977 in July.

A support slot at the Spa 24 Hours GT race at the end of that month has been retained, while the annual Rockingham round has moved to September.

British F3 will visit Germany for the Nurburgring 12 Hours meeting the following week, before returning to the revived Donington Park at the end of the month.

The teams' hopes of moving the season finale at Silverstone from its October date to an earlier slot on the calendar appear to have come to nought. The 2011 championship will conclude on the new GP circuit on the weekend of October 7-9.
