Alex Lynn and Harry Tincknell open to British Formula 3 programmes
Formula 3 aces Alex Lynn and Harry Tincknell have both said that they could be open to contesting the slimline four-round British F3 International Series this season
The two Britons, who each won races in their domestic F3 championship last year, are looking increasingly likely to compete against each other in the European F3 Championship in 2013.
While Lynn's deal with Prema Powerteam was announced last November, Tincknell is still weighing up options for the coming campaign.
Speaking immediately after news broke about the slashing of the British F3 calendar for 2013, Lynn said: "I'd like to have the chance to go for a British F3 title, but it depends if the competition is there.
"Last year was a small grid but everyone knows the competition was really hard. As long as that's there, that would make it special."
Prema team manager Rene Rosin, whose squad has a history of contesting occasional British F3 rounds, added: "We will discuss it internally at Prema and then discuss with the drivers if they want to increase their programmes.
"It could be something interesting, but it depends if my drivers want to do it. Of course, our main priority is the European championship."
Tincknell, whose 2013 activities are expected to be sorted within the next two weeks, said: "They're good tracks [on the British F3 schedule], and if everything works out it's something I'd certainly think about.
"The more time you can get in the car the better. Carlos Sainz Jr proved last year that it's very difficult to do two championships, but success in British F3 is something that would be good to have on your CV without having to commit to an extra full [10-round] championship."
