Adria day 2: Pla powers to the top

The second day of the first official test of the new Formula 3 Euroseries was a triumph for the French ASM team with its driver, Korean GP winner Olivier Pla, and its new Mercedes engine at the Adria circuit in Italy today (Friday)

Pla lapped in 1m09.603s, two-tenths clear of yesterday's pacesetter Ryan Briscoe (Prema Dallara-Opel). Bruno Spengler was an impressive third fastest in the second ASM entry, with Charles Zwolsman making it four Merc-powered cars in the top four in his Team Kolles Dallara.

Nico Rosberg leapt to fifth in his Team Rosberg Dallara-Opel, ahead of German rookie Alexander Margeritis.

Teams now move on to Misano next week for another two days of testing.
